Mapuche Prisoners in Critical Conditions in Chile

Indigenous parliamentarians and leaders called the attention on Tuesday regarding the critical conditions of the 34 mapuche hunger strikers, imprisoned southern Chile.
Party for Democracy Senator Jaime Quintana warned about the decompensations suffered by some of the strikers, who are at vital risk as a result of the lack of food.
Quintana urged governmental and parliamentarian authorities to work with swiftness on the modification projects to the anti-terrorist law, which has been questioned due to its extended implementation in the Araucania territory.
Senator of the Social movement Alejandro Navarro considered as inapplicable the mentioned regulation in the case of the arrested indigenous people.
On Tuesday, Council of All Lands Werken Aucan Huilcaman reiterated that only dialogue and direct communication with the representatives can channel a quick solution for the conflict.
